Sarah’s story
Sarah has been in the dental industry for 15 years, finding her love of the industry as a dental assistant at first, before going on to graduate from AUT with a Bachelor of health Science in Oral Health. From there, she remained in NZ’s biggest city working in general dental and specialist periodontal practices, giving her a lot of experience in both dental hygiene as well as therapy and orthodontic auxiliary.
Sarah’s patients love her because she works hard to make them feel comfortable, ensuring their dental experiences are as positive as they can be. She also takes the time to educate her patients on what is going on, or what they need, helping eliminate some of that ‘fear of the unknown’ many Kiwis face when visiting the dentist.
Recently, Sarah moved to Whangārei to join the Kowhai Dental team and is excited to be a part of our thriving community (not to mention getting closer to the beach!). With such a huge passion for helping people, she has also been studying other areas of health in her spare time, including psychology, and loves water, nature and yoga as well.
